A trip through the verdant and florid hills of this land to savour excellent wines: Fiano of Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Taurasi DOCG which Irpinia can boast and be proud about.
An itinerary that starts and ends in the beautiful city of Avellino, where you can taste the Fiano.
The itinerary continues towards Tufo a place in the Sabato Valley, which is only 10 km from the resort. It is known throughout the world for being the birthplace of the Greco di Tufo DOC wine. A Greco di Tufo Festival held every year in September and on this occasion the wine is accompanied by some of the most delicious dishes of the Irpinia tradition
After getting inebriated with a glass of Greco di Tufo, a must is a visit to the resort Taurasi, a small town of Irpinia, well-known for its wine and just 7 miles from the Resort.
Taurasi is the best wines of Southern Italy and, like many wines of the South of Italy, pre-Roman origins: Aglianico, the main grape variety used to produce this wine, was once called “hellenico” or “hellenica “, to emphasize the Greek origin.
